Announcing New Nellie McClung Foundation Appointments

The Nellie McClung Foundation announces the appointment of a new board member to its board of directors, as well as the hiring of an Executive Director.


The Nellie McClung Foundation is proud to welcome Diane Sparrow as its newest Board Member. Diane is joined by newly hired Executive Director, past Board Member, Dana Driedger.


"Diane is a wonderful addition to the Board, her community-mindedness, along with her expertise and energy are an excellent asset to the organization." says Board Chair, Doris Mae Oulton. "We are very fortune to have both Diane and Dana by our side as we continue to grow the Foundation"




DIANE SPARROW

Owner, Sparrow Hotels


The Sparrow family have been part of the hospitality industry for over 80 years.  Under the corporate name Sparrow Hotels the core purpose is provide a genuine and unique experience to all clients and guests.   As a family business investing in the community has also been a priority. 


Diane has served on many boards, encompassing national, provincial and local organizations.   In her semi-retirement, she and her husband Bob are enjoying traveling and being grandparents to five wonderful grandchildren.





DANA DRIEDGER

Executive Director, The Nellie McClung Foundation


Dana has been a board member of the Nellie McClung Foundation since 2016, until recently stepping down to assume the role of Executive Director.


Prior to joining the board, Dana co-chaired the Nellie McClung Foundation Centennial Gala: Celebrating 100 Years of Manitoba Women's Right to Vote.
